Rachel DeSpain is a writer, entrepreneur, and survivor who grew up with a scattershot dose of love and volatility. Raised in the Texas Hill Country followed by detours no map could predict, she spent her life on the run.

Her memoir, *A Wild Ride*, traces the long road from trauma to healing and peace. Told with grit, grace, and unflinching honesty, it is a testament to the quiet power of breaking cycles and learning to stay.

Now rooted on a butterfly and lilikoi farm in Hawaii, Rachel lives with her husband, their surf-obsessed daughter, and an opinionated rescue dog.
